I also grew up bilingual in English and German so I know how it feels to struggle to express yourself sometimes. My boyfriend is Hungarian, and while he is teaching me basic Hungarian, I've been helping him improve his English and learn some of the bigger words and complex phrases. I'm especially used to explaining weird American idioms to him (every language has funny phrases we use all the time that don't make sense to foreigners!) and some more colloquial slang for fun.
