I'm Renee, and I want to begin by saying it's an absolute pleasure to meet you. I hail from Queens, New York, but I've had the privilege of calling Houston, Texas, my home for most of my life. Houston is this incredible mosaic of cultures, and it's no surprise that it's ranked as one of the top cities for its remarkable diversity. My unique upbringing is a testament to that. My mother, hailing from Bolivia, spent her career in high fashion retail, while my norwegian father was a merchant marine. They couldn't be more different, but I like to believe that their diverse backgrounds played a big part in shaping me into the eclectic, creative, culture-loving person I am today.

I embarked on my academic journey at the University of Houston Downtown, but it didn't take long for me to realize that the traditional path of education wasn't my cup of tea. I dropped out after an enlightening photography class and a fulfilling photojournalism internship at Houston Community Newspapers. That's when I set off on an incredible adventure, camera in hand, to capture the essence of people, places, and cultures around the world.

Oh, the places I've been! Paris and Provence in Europe, the serene shores of 7 Mile Beach and the vibrant Saint Lucia in the Caribbean, the enchanting Tulum in Mexico, the bustling streets of Buenos Aires, Argentina, the mystical Machu Picchu in Peru, and countless more. My lens has seen it all.

My background is steeped in the world of high fashion retail, where I had the privilege of working with top designer houses like Prada and Max Mara. However, in 2019, I decided to bid adieu to the high-fashion scene and dive headfirst into the world of art and design consulting. I also started multiple e-commerce ventures during the lockdown period, fueled by my unwavering passion for art, fashion design, and business.

I absolutely relish engaging with others about their passions and interests. There's something magical about sharing stories and ideas. As your tutor, my goal is to truly understand you and help you reach your goals. To me, the best way to start this journey is by simply talking about the things we love and letting the conversation flow naturally.

My teaching style is laid-back, yet engaging. I aim to inspire and be effective in every class, but most importantly, I tailor each session to your specific needs. Your goals are my goals, and I'm here to support you every step of the way.
