I spent over a year as Head of PE.
As well as teaching I was responsible for curriculum, assessment and lesson planning; coaching teachers in my department and other areas of the school, providing training for new teachers.

As a teacher I taught studetns between the ages of 11-18. I assisted in planning lessons within the departments.
As a form tutor I delivered lessons on PSHE. I also spent time working with students whos level of English was below required standards.

Ran activities and helped teach English to exchange students coming to Ireland/UK for a summer. Also helped with teaching English and adjusting to life abroad for students doing a year long exchange.

I spent 1 year as an athletics coach.
I also worked 1 summer in sports camps and spent 2 years as a Gaelic football and hurling coach with my local club.

Spent some time working in local restuarant and 3 months in McDonalds.

Interests: Outside teaching, sport is my favourite thing! I try and exercise several times a week and play a variety of sports including Gaelic football and soccer. I also enjoy keeping up to date with everything happening in the sporting world.
I enjoy walking and taking in the environment. I like listening to music too (the genre depends on my mood each day!).
I do alot of travelling and have been to many countries across Europe. Recently I have been travelling Asia and been to India, Nepal, Thailand and Laos. One day I hope to make it to South America.

Education: Post Graduaute Certificate in Education

I spent 1 year completing my PGCE to become a qualified teacher. I spent time on placement in schools as well as researching and evaluating the most effective methods of education. I explored education systems from around the world too.

Teach English as a Foreign Langauge

I completed a 120 hour TEFL course online.
The course included lesson planning and observation, 1 to 1 teaching and a grammer section.
I have used this to help students with low levels of English in my school in the UK.

BSc Health and Performance Science
Sports and Athletics
Sports science degree.
Modules included health and fitness, public health, fitness training, anatomy and phyisology.
Course was both practical and research based and completed with a dissertation at the end.
