My first teaching position was with young learners (ages 3 - 6) for 2.5 years in a small town in Isan, Thailand. This beautiful, tri-lingual private school (giving lessons in Thai, English and Chinese) was a great first step for me as a professional.

My next position was with older students, grade 11 and 12. I taught English grammar, reading, life skills and presentation skills. This was a large, public school outside of Bangkok.

My most recent job was teaching grades 4 to 6. I taught basic grammar, reading and life skills. This position was at the same school I started my teaching journey at. Being back in the small Thai town made me feel very happy and secure.

I have over 1000 hours of experience, tutoring one-on-one and groups of students.

Interests: I love reading. I am currently working through Stephen King's books (there are over 60!). 📖

I am trying to grow vegetables and herbs in my garden. 🍅🥕🫑

I am exploring new hiking trails in the mountains of Cape Town. 🥾🌄🌵

Psychology is my passion! Human behaviour is very interesting to me. 🧠🌿🫂

I have a bachelor of arts, majoring in psychological counselling. I have done short courses in academic literacy and English for tertiary purposes. One of my modules included Inclusive Education; how to educate people with a variety of backgrounds.

I completed a 120 hour TEFL certification which included a 20 hour practical experience course.
