My name is Jaurné. I am originally from the sunny lands of South Africa but I currently live in the beautiful country that is Portugal. I have two great passions in life which include teaching and creating. I have been a teacher for the past 8 years where I taught in many different situations , i taught young children for a few years where I then moved on and found a new passion in teaching special needs children , I then taught high school students and after that I found my love in teaching English online to people of every age across the world.

What i love about teaching is the interaction between myself and each unique student as we all all here on Cambly for different reasons. i would like to help you to reach your goals in learning english and it will be my absolute joy in watching you grow as an english student.

In my classroom i like to know more about you so that we can incorporate your needs into the lesson, let's work on grammar, pronunciation, punctuation, new words and sentences and everyday conversation to allow you to speak english more closer to native english speaking. i like a calm and relaxing class atmosphere whilst allowing space for exploration and questions you may have.

When i am not teaching i spend time on my other passions such as : walking my two rescue dogs, hiking the mountainous areas of Portugal, swimming in the ocean, writing poetry, making memories with my friends and family and then i wont forget to mention how much i loge to paint and create art as i am a live wedding painter , artist and illustrator.

i have my level 5 TEFL certificate as well as a bachelors degree in intermediate and senior phase teaching .

i cant wait to see you in the classroom !! lets get our english hats on and work together in the classroom.
