As a laboratory technician with Environment Agency for seven years, I gained extensive experience in a wide variety of analytical techniques.The Environment Agency is the government organisation which protects the environment in the United Kingdom.

I am fascinated by martial arts. It is a really interesting and diverse subject, and there is so much more to it than fighting. Marital arts have really helped me to avoid conflict, be positive, and be the person I want to be.

In 1999, I qualified with a bachelor's degree in applied chemistry from the Nottingham Trent University.

Based around the core subjects of physical, organic, and inorganic chemistry, my course also included a number of specialised modules.
