I spent a short time working as a Recreation Aide at a retirement home in Vancouver, BC. It was rewarding work that gave me a strong sense of purpose and fulfillment. I facilitated various activities for residents, as well as an exercise class.

Covid19 Screener

I currently work at a retirement home on the Sunshine Coast, BC as a covid19 screener. I am the first point of contact for anyone visiting the facility and must ensure that no one who is sick enters. I screen and rapid test visitors.

Teacher
English Language Instruction
I taught an English class in China through a virtual platform from Sept. 2021 - Dec. 2021. I taught two 40min classes of ~100 students total. It was a wonderful experience! I learned a lot about teaching and got inspiration from the students.

Interesses: I grew up in Victoria BC, lived in Vancouver BC for a year and a half, and am now residing on the Sunshine Coast of BC. I am an introvert, however I do enjoy rich conversations with new people. I am a music enthusiast who enjoys playing the ukulele, piano, and singing. I am interested in pursuing a linguistics degree and hope to travel to Europe and Japan someday soon. I also love watching cartoons including those of Disney as well as some Anime and Studio Ghibli movies. I am interested in arts+crafts including knitting, floristry, drawing, writing, and card-making. I also live in a motorhome which is a rewarding lifestyle choice for anyone interested!
