I've had a career teaching English to students aged 5- 70 since 1997. My first job was in China where I worked for 3.5. years. I mainly taught refugees in London and absolutely loved that job.

I trained English teachers in China and the UK, working for the non-profit organisation, Voluntary Service Overseas. The work really helped me to consolidate what I had learned and experienced teaching English and helped me to keep up-to-date.

관심 분야: I love dogs and spend a lot of my time walking and playing with my 5 year old boy, Yara! We often go to the beach and swim and make friends with the dogs there. I also love the natural world and stuff like camping and hiking.
I have studied yoga and meditation for the past 15 years and 5 years ago I qualified as a yoga instructor. I have studied and practiced an ecological form of design known as permaculture which includes gardening.
I've always travelled and have experienced languages and cultures in Africa, China, Europe, India and north America. I also like watching reality TV and writing poetry.

The degree covers many areas of ELT in theory and practice including phonology, grammar, lexis, the science of second language acquisition, the importance of culture in learning language. I studied while I taught and it really supported my work.
