Tom Skelton

Profession: Advocacy and Engagement Officer for blind organisations in London and Sydney, as well as semi-professional comedian.

Interests: I'm very interested in books, history, politics, football and travel. I love watching and performing comedy, and until Covid struck, had the good fortune to tour in Australia and New Zealand earlier this year, but missed out the Melbourne Comedy Festival this year, as well as what would have been my twelfth Edinburgh Fringe. I also really like hiking and running, and learning languages.

Education: BA (Bachelor of Arts) in Politics and International Relations from Oxford Brookes University. I also studied two years of German and English Literature at Wadham College, Oxford.

I completed a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course before teaching English in Ecuador for three months to school children. While living in Berlin I undertook an intensive German language course at the Akademie für Fremdsprachen, and an intensive Spanish courses in Salamanca and Quito.

Spoken Languages: English (Native), German (Conversational), Spanish (Basic), Italian (Basic)
