I spent 19 years teaching at universities in China. Most of my classes were Oral English and most of my students were English majors.

From May 2014 to May 2015 I was an IELTS examiner in Nanning, China. I was trained in Guangzhou at the British Council office. After May 2015 the system changed and most of us lost our jobs because we weren't allowed to work part-time anymore.

Interests: April 29, 2024 update: If you are from Asia and you can't find any available times for me, that's because I only open times in the Asian evening, not in the morning.

Also, usually only my "regular students" can see my openings. New students can't see them. If you want a lesson with me, please send me a message and explain why you want a lesson.

Sometimes I open times for any students. Usually that is on Saturday and Sunday evenings. Check on Friday or Saturday to see if I have opened extra times for new students. Anyone can book a lesson with me during those extra times, however please keep in mind that I don't teach IELTS on Cambly anymore.

I have bachelor's and master's degrees in music education. I was a band director and music teacher before becoming an ESL teacher.
