Interesses: I grew up in Maryland, in the United States. I am a native English speaker with a North American accent. I am also fluent in Spanish.

I began tutoring in 2018. I taught IELTS exam preparation, Conversational English, and English for Travel to private students, in person.

I completed my Teaching English as a Foreign Language course and received my TEFL certificate from the company i-to-i in December of 2018.

I have been teaching young learners exclusively since then, through online education companies with courses designed for students ranging from 3-14 years of age.

I have worked extensively with young learners ranging from Beginner to Intermediate levels of English. I am comfortable teaching students on both ends of the spectrum.

As a person, I am caring, patient, and upbeat. I focus on making classes engaging and interactive. I encourage students and make sure to offer plenty of positive feedback.

I am fascinated by language. I enjoy studying modern and ancient words. Some of my favorite words are ancient Greek and Chinese in origin. I always try to understand where modern words come from.

Aside from being a native English speaker, I am also fluent in Spanish. I studied French in school, and I'm currently learning pinyin (Mandarin).

I like reading. I am interested in literature, philosophy, and psychology. I also like logic and the sciences, especially physics and chemistry.

I like watching football (soccer) and playing tennis. I like to exercise and go for walks in the park and along the beach, or just through the city!

I love music. I play the guitar, the piano, and the cajon. I enjoy composing music. I also write songs with vocals and lyrics.
